Crown Chakra (Sahasrara): Sahasrana means ‘thousand-petalled lotus” and is the seat of the True Self. When the chakra system is aligned, the crown chakra is the human connection to Divine wisdom. While the third eye chakra opens you to enlightenment, Sahasrana is the energy of transcendence. When deficient , you are laden with material concerns. When overly expressed, you develop an unhealthy attachment to spirituality where ‘nothing matters’. Living in a world made up of matter, harmonizing the entire chakra system supports your ability to survive and thrive. Because this chakra is different from the others, it is not associated with an element or mantra although the color connection is either violet or pure white light.
