Aroma: Intensely strong aroma, earthy, bitter, herbaceous, and unusual
Latin Name: Calendula officinalis
Country of Origin: Egypt
Cultivation Method: Conventionally grown
Extraction Method: Carbon dioxide CO2 extracted
Extracted From: Flowers
Color: Stunning orange
Perfumery Note: Base
Consistency: Since the pure CO2 extract is very strong smelling, thick, and sticky, we have diluted it in a jojoba oil (80% jojoba / 20% calendula). This makes it easier to work with.
Aromatherapy Properties: While its scent can be too strong for many essential oil blending, Calendula is considered highly useful for a variety of skin issues.
Suggested Use: Calendula can be a beneficial ingredient in facial creams, salves, and sensitive skin body care products.
History: Flower extractions have been used for a long time in Europe for various skin ailments.
Specific Safety Information: Not for internal use. Even though we have diluted the calendula extract to 20%, dilute more with topical use. Avoid use of calendula if you have allergies to plants in the Asteraceae family, such as ragweed. Consult your doctor if you have any questions before use.
