Consistency: Very thick, needs to be warmed to turn more liquid. For this reason we recommend our pre-blended version that is diluted to 10% in jojoba oil.
Aromatherapy Properties: Purifying, restorative, and meditative
Suggested Use: Myrrh is a favorite for use with yoga and meditation, with a peaceful grounding effect. Topically, it is cleansing and purifying. In essential oil blends, only a tiny amount of myrrh is needed, otherwise its scent can be overpowering. Myrrh offers a fixative benefit in perfumery, so a scent can linger longer.
Note: Aromaland offers myrrh 100%, or diluted to 10% in jojoba carrier oil. The diluted version is less thick and easier to use in aromatherapy applications, but still requires further dilution with topical use.
History: Myrrh is one of the oldest known perfumery materials, and has been used for centuries as an incense and embalming ingredient.
